Central Kasai: request for the lifting of immunities of two provincial MPsKananga, May 3rd, 2023(CPA)-. The public prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal of Central Kasai in Kananga, has requested the lifting of the immunities of two provincial deputies, in order to investigate the facts brought against them, judicial sources in the city announced on Tuesday.
In a first indictment addressed to the permanent bureau of the deliberative body, the court « requests the lifting of the immunities of Alexis Mulomba charged with assault and battery, and the provincial deputy Joseph Kalamba Mwanza for, among other things, non-assistance to a child in danger.
The permanent bureau has set up a special committee to examine these two requests in accordance with the provisions of Article 99 of the rules of procedure of this institution after reading these documents to the plenary.
